Calling all wing aficionados!! Add this baby to your list. Korean style- lollipop wings that have this extra crispy exterior that gives you that satisfying crunch with every bite. There's 4 spice levels to pick from for sauce, and the sauce tastes like a perfected trifecta of soy, chili and garlic. We ordered the mild that had little to no heat, and the tiger which was sweet entering your mouth with a spicy kick on the back half. Each order of wings comes with rice and if you're a sauce boss like me, order an extra side of sauce to pour over your rice. Rice was delicious on its own too, if that's more your speed. I was delighted to find plastic gloves in your bag to keep your hands mess-free. Genius!
LANDBIRDS - I LOVE YOU! Eddie Lee knows how to turn it up with these wings! The menu offers Tiger Chicken Wings (think of them as chicken lollipops; your choice of Mild, Medium, Tiger, or Spicy Tiger for sauce) with a jasmine rice combo and Musubi Rice. We ordered a half tray for each of the sauces as well as 4 orders of the Musubi Rice. Those chicken wings were cooked to PERFECTION, and the sauces on them were so savory, flavorful, and so delicious! They were definitely addicting, and I couldn't get these wings in my mouth fast enough! You can't go wrong with any of the sauces; I actually liked the Tiger and the Medium. The Musubi Rice was pretty tasty, too, because WHO CAN DENY kimchi and Spam in your rice?! YUM! A great complement to the chicken meal. I love the fact that they give you disposable gloves so you can keep your fingers clean; love that thoughtful touch! A group of us came here for lunch, and we're so glad we came when they opened, as there was already a line and with the limited seating; the tables are guaranteed to be gone. I've been wanting to try lollipop wings for some time now. I know they're the same as regular wings but they look better on a plate and much easier to eat. The ordering process and pick up was nice and simple. I ordered 5 Tiger wings and 5 Spicy Tiger wings, both came with a side of jasmine rice. The wings were delicious and tender and were really meaty. The spicy tiger sauce is definitely the way to go. They had the perfect amount of sweetness with a hint of spiciness that will creep up on you and make your nose runny. The jasmine rice was a perfect filler. While definitely tasty, I'm not quite sure they're worth the price. They are on the pricey side and there's other places serving lollipop wings for less money. I will most definitely be returning though.
Back at it again with a Landbirds review and each time this place keeps getting BETTER AND BETTER . We got tiger and spicy tiger and spicy tiger was pretty dang spicy. The chicken continues to be cooked to literal perfection crispiness and the food shockingly travels pretty well (due to COVID-19 we ordered for take out).
Wings were delicious! I like how they're presented squishing the meat to one end of the bone, creating a handle for you. The meat is juicy and the skin is semi-crispy. The flavors are good between mild and spicy and extra spicy and the sauce is plentiful. The side of rice with furikake seasoning is a major win too! The sauce with rice is A++
